Precast concrete in Illinois and Wisconsin
What is PCI of Illinois & Wisconsin?
PCI of Illinois & Wisconsin is the regional chapter of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute serving both states. The chapter represents 14 PCI-certified precast producer companies and 56 associate member companies, and provides free accredited continuing education to architects, engineers, and contractors across the region.
How do I find a precast concrete producer in Illinois or Wisconsin?
Use the Find a Producer directory on this site. It lists every PCI-certified precast producer with plants in Illinois and Wisconsin, 14 companies in total, and lets you filter by product type and by PCI plant certification. Each producer has its own page with plant locations, certifications, and contact details. The directory is free and there is no referral fee.
What is precast concrete?
Precast concrete is cast in a controlled plant, cured, and then delivered to site and set in place, rather than being formed and poured in position. Casting off site allows tighter quality control, finishes that are difficult to achieve in the field, and production that continues through winter while site work is limited.
Does PCI of Illinois & Wisconsin offer free continuing education?
Yes. The chapter is an approved continuing education provider and delivers accredited courses at no charge, including lunch and learns at your office, plant tours at member producers, seminars, and webinars. Sessions carry learning units for architects and professional development hours for engineers.
How does a company become a member?
Companies that supply the precast industry join as associate members. Producer membership is for PCI-certified precast plants. The membership page lists both tiers with current dues and has a short form that starts the process, with no payment due when you send it.
What areas does the chapter cover?
Illinois and Wisconsin, including Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Rockford, Peoria, and Green Bay. For work outside these two states, PCI maintains a national listing of certified plants and a directory of the other regional chapters.
